How can I be a really good photography subject for my friend?

Sarah asked:

My friend is coming over soon and wants to take pictures of me for school, with her really nice photography camera. What should I do to look really good? Makeup tips? Posing tips? Clothes? Facial expressions?

Thanks!

Let your friend direct you, and enjoy the experience.
Don’t try too hard and give yourself some time to get used to being photographed.
Relax, be yourself and, above all, don’t stress about it.

Be natural. Trying too hard will show up in the pictures.

Practice a little posing in front of a mirror, things you have seen in magazines. If you wear makeup, go ahead and wear it for the shoot.

Long sleeve shirts are often recommended, in a photograph they help draw attention to your face,

    Good Luck!
